Wow, only 4 days to Christmas, are you excited yet??

It's getting close. Still not quite finished my shopping and am now very used to being very cold! But wow the show is going so well.

Do you know what really makes me really makes me happy? It's when children come running up to us and throw their arms around us saying how they've missed seeing us since the summer and how they loved the show so much and are really excited about the new Christmas show.

We always do our best to make them feel special and to include them in the show as much as possible, but it's really warming to see them enjoy what we do so much. It makes it incredibly worthwhile.

I've also been amazed at how people will happily stand around in the cold to watch our show and how they still want to be taught to juggle. More balls to be taken in tomorrow me thinks..

It also makes me laugh when the children have had a go and then mom or dad suddenly starts juggling, reliving their miss spent youth is what they normally say!! Very funny.

Happy Christmas everyone, I'm loving this festive season!

The Season has begun at Warwick with a fanfare..

Wow, I couldn't have asked for a better first day of our Christmas Season at Warwick Castle. Despite our concerns pre-show and the usual jitters about things techy it all went brilliantly.

I think the show got better reactions than it has ever got before and there's just something about Christmas...

We had a blast.

It also helps getting two of the cutest children to help you on stage and 2 of the funniest men to help with our puppet routine...

Come see the show, it's really what Christmas is all about.

Christmas Fairs and Christmas show, why there's no time for Christmas Shopping!

Now here's a conundrum, I'm trying to finish off the preparation for the schools Christmas Fair, I'm Chairman of the PSA you know. That all comes to an end on  Friday  evening at 6.30, by which time I'll  have spent all of  the day in final rehearsals for the amazing new Monty & Jingles Christmas Show at Warwick Castle, www.warwick-castle.com, by the time the fair at school starts I'll be well on my way to deepest Oxfordshire to perform at a Medieval Banquet. See www.medieval-banquet.com for more details.

So I'll finish there at about midnight, home in Solihull for 01.00 am then back out again to the Castle to start the show at 10.00 am. From there on it's 7 days a week for 3 weeks solid with evening performances thrown in?

So I ask myself, Christmas shopping? What, where, when?

Ebay... that's the answer....!!

Happy Christmas everyone,

A Jesters life for me any day of the week!

We have a stage for the show.. yay!

Oh boy it's a good un'. Really big and in a cool place within the Caste as well. We have a couple of days of setting a rehearsal left then it's show time!

So 12.00 midday and 4.00 pm every day. The magic of Christmas done Jester style!!

It's nearly here...

It's nearly here... the start of another wonderful run at Warwick Castle gets closer by the day and I'm so excited.
Rehearsals are going brilliantly, for anyone who saw our summer show, this is taking it to a new level and making it soooo festive it's amazing!!

But before all of that a really busy time in the life of this Court Jester.

I wonder how many Infant schools can count a Jester as Chairman of their Parent Staff Association? Well my sons school can, there's a canny headmistress if ever I met one! She knew who to ask to be the mouth piece ey?

So we're busy finalising details for the schools Christmas Fair on the 11th December. Lots of stalls, some great raffle prizes and lots of wonderful offers of  help.

I've just got to pull it all together now.

Then there's a busy weekend of birthday parties to do, 2 in Birmingham and 1 in London! Phew this Jester gets about.

I'm also back in school to plan the workshop sessions I'll be performing and running in January. I going to help the Year 1 classes make some real fairy tale magic of their own and can't wait....

So busy busy busy....

I do so love being a professional Fool!

Been a few days

Well, it's been a few days since my last update.

I'm loving every minute of this run at the castle but am without doubt shattered.

3 shows a day and walkabout is really more tiring than you can imagine but so much fun!

So bring on tomorrow but please please don't rain!!

Another great day today

Okay I know this is getting a bit of a theme, but what a fun fun fun day!

The new show is going down really well and the audiences are just brilliant.

Started to do more magic as a pre show to which I really enjoy....

And the fire show!!! Just so much fun...

Wednesday

Another great day today.

The Jester shows wnent really really well, lovely audiences and great atmospheres both times. We did a brilliant little Jester parade from the courtyard to our show this afternoon to which really worked as well.

Bit blowy for fire eating/breathing though it must be said. My lip bears the scar of a changeable wind but being the professional I am I soldiered on..

See you there soon...

The Season at Warwick Castle has begun

So the season at Warwick Castle has begun in earnest. After 6 weeks of writing, re-writing, choreographing, sourcing music and rehearsing it, The Monty & Jingles Jester show is here.

If you haven't seen it yet the come and check us out, we're on at 12.00 and 16.00 everyday throughout the summer.

Also, I get to do my world famous, slightly loony, Fire show every day at 1.45 too!

Look forward to seeing you there!
